When did we, as a society, decide that it would be better and more "normal" to pack our precious little ones off to government-run facilities to get their education? Not that there aren't some great public schools out there, but why are those who choose to educate their own children so stygmatized? Who better to teach a child then his/her own parents? Homeschooling just seems like common sense, to me.
I think that the homeschool movement is growing so quickly and the results are so positive that any media criticism will eventually HAVE to start fading away. I seriously doubt that you'll ever see much positive reporting done on the benefits of HS'ing. But, perhaps, as the movement continues to grow, they'll at least have to sit down and shut up with all the none-too-subtle negative spin! ;0)
